My main motivation with using any musical tool is to decrease the resistance between creativity and reality. My favorite tools are the ones I forget about and focus on the composition.

My main guitar, Moira, is a Furch Blue Deluxe SW, I use two different pickups, both are called Dimarzio Black Angel’s, run out of the guitar Mono and blended in a dual preamp.

I use Ernie Ball Aluminum Bronze strings, they have a clarity in the low mid and just the right amount of slack. I rotate my gauges all the time, but generally it’s between 12-58.

I’m particularly fond of thinking of guitar effects as an enhancement, I want the guitar to sound natural, yet even better than just unplugged in the room. I love the Boss OC-5, Strymon Bigsky, Keeley Halo, Digitech Ricochet, and the Universal Audio Teletronix LA-2A pedals. I’m always experimenting, but these are the staples to my live sound.
